Remote, USA
Senior Product Designer
100% Remote
6-month contract-to-hire

The Senior Product Designer will play a key role in bringing our product vision to life. You will lead the design process that begins well before any wireframes or prototypes are created. You know the right questions to ask, the right data to request, and the right people to collaborate with in order to create experiences that are data driven and in service of our customers and members. You are skilled at designing simple, intuitive and beautiful digital UI, but have the experience and expertise to help define product and business strategy. Along with the team, you are constantly looking for ways to improve (and measure) the client experience.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize design thinking principles to build engaging customer experiences which solve goals with elegant simplicity
  • Collaborate with product squads (product managers, developers, researchers, and other stakeholders) to design and execute concepts that deliver on brand goals, business goals, and are technically feasible to implement
  • Create prototypes and wireframes at varying levels of fidelity – from rough concepts for brainstorming to dev-ready files
  • Conduct user-testing of designs and prototypes and synthesize learnings and feedback into design iterations
  • Help define and implement best practices for the organization around product discovery and design
  • Work closely with brand and creative team to ensure all touchpoints accurately reflect the company’s visual and brand identity
  • Help define and build the future-state Product Design Team
  • Work will consist of a combination of product design strategy, design execution and design process/project management

Requirements
  • 3+ years of UX/Product Design experience, preferably with some previous experience working on an ecommerce product
  • Strong understanding of the end-to-end product process and knowledge of what is possible and what will be hard to achieve and/or implement in a digital environment
  • Exceptional communication and ability to present designs and articulate ideas to all levels of the organization
  • Openness to evolution of opinions, and challenge of beliefs; ability to gracefully accept constructive feedback and use it to make designs and processes better
  • Expertise in modern design tools (we work in Figma)
  • Ability to zoom in on a specific area of the product while maintaining the zoomed-out view of the holistic experience
  • Excellent prioritization and time-management; ability to work with multiple squads and set realistic expectations and timelines for competing priorities
  • Previous experience working with product and engineering using an Agile framework
  • Empathy, curiosity, and an understanding of what it means to be truly customer-centric
  • A portfolio demonstrating the entire UX process including concepting, research, design, and testing
