Lead Cloud Data Architect 100% Remote 12-month contract-to-hire
The Lead Cloud Data Architect will work in an agile architecture environment across the end-client’s entire technology portfolio on current and emerging products. You will work with product managers and owners, application development managers and tech leads, to define system architecture across multiple products, setting technology standards and strategy. You will work with external parties, including client and partner enterprises, to define system architectures and interfaces between organizations. This role will require a breadth of technology and communication skills to influence and lead the strategic direction.
Job Responsibilities
Drive architectural initiative across entire organization
Drive architectural initiative with business partners and customers
Create scalable forward-looking data architecture for SaaS and mobile applications
Drive and influence cross-functional technology solutions in a highly collaborative environment
Analyze and improve stability, scalability and performance of systems
Work with technical leads in scrum teams to provide technical guidance, communicate technical decisions, and mentor developers
Partner with Operations, Application Development, QA, and Product teams to ensure a consistent technology strategy across teams and products
Research and evaluate emerging technologies, create proof of concept projects
Requirements
Relevant years working in an architecture role
Relevant years of software development experience
Experience with AWS data storage, data engineering, data transport and query technologies such as DynamoDB, Aurora, Redshift, S3, EMR, Glue, Redshift, Athena
Experience transitioning from SQL datastores to noSQL with full HA characteristics
Experience defining data architecture in both on premise and cloud environments, and with defining the transition activities to migrate data layer to cloud
Experience modeling data for enterprise services
In depth knowledge of multiple development languages and technology such as: Python (PySpark), Java, or .NET
Experienced with data management practices
Enjoy rolling up your sleeves, and doing hands on POC work when appropriate to solidify your recommendations
