Description:
Our client is hiring an experienced Business Analyst with strong working knowledge of tools, principles, concepts and external frameworks in and affecting own area. The role holder will be a technical specialist in own area and may deliver specialist knowledge and input independently. 

What you'll be doing:
  • Draw up business analysis documentation across the value chain. The analysis can cover technical systems as well as organisational and/or business processes.
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyse information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artefacts as needed:
    • All necessary business requirements artefacts relevant to the development methodology, Use Cases, GUI.
  • Draw up the full range of business analysis documentation from high level concept documents to low level requirements.
  • Drive and challenge market teams on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans
  • Capturing the business requirements, undertaking the functional and systems analysis of the requirements to produce specification documents that meet both the Users and Developers needs and ensures systems are tested before release to User Acceptance
  • Drawing up the user acceptance tests to ensure that that the implementation of the requirements specified in the business analysis documentation are fit for purpose.
  • Ensuring that developments to technical systems and business processes across the content value chain are consistent with, and aligned to, the business systems strategy.
  • Work independently with users to define concepts and under direction of project managers and solution owners
  • Working with the Solution Owners to ensure that the business analysis will, and does, deliver the identified business benefits.
  • Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
  • Working closely with peers in the market, suppliers and business process people throughout the organisation and externally to ensure that requirements are captured correctly and that the identified business benefits are delivered.
  • Serves as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers) and the software development team through which requirements flow.
  • Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyse trade-offs between usability and performance needs.
  • Be the liaison between the market teams, technology teams, business process teams and support teams
  • Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously

What you'll need:
Education
  • +5 years business analysis experience
  • A track record in deploying common processes and technology in a multi-national environment.
  • Exposure to the Advertising and Media industry is essential.
  • Consulting background is desirable.
  • Good understanding of end-to-end media buying process operations.

Work Experience
  • Significant experience of agile product management and development, ideally for web based applications
  • Deep understanding of digital media technologies, how they can drive business improvement
  • Significant experience writing agile user stories
  • Significant experience working within distributed, agile development teams as a product owner and also more classical methodologies
  • Experience in working within a user-centric design approach, including user research methods
  • Experience of user acceptance testing of software
  • Experience in the media industry, understanding of domains such as media planning, buying and trafficking
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Ability to translate communications to forms appropriate for the recipient audience i.e. technical information in terms meaningful for the business audience.
  • Experience of products used globally by multiple local country markets
  • Knowledge of recent web technologies
  • Able to demonstrate an creative and analytical thinking to come up with different viable solutions to the same business problem
  • Excellent negotiations skills and ability to manage relationships to ‘do what is right’ for the whole business where appropriate
