BI ETL Lead Engineer
(Remote position)
We built a new policy administration system has built a cloud-based policy administration platform. The ETL BI Engineer Lead will be responsible for the architecture, direction, and maintenance of the data and reporting platform including Power BI.
Responsibilities
- Hands on experience in installing, configuring, managing, upgrading/migrating, monitoring and troubleshooting PostgreSQL
- Experience in report development using Power BI and creating various types of Dashboards and reports
- Skillful in developing PBIX files in both Power BI Desktop and Power BI Services platforms
- Competent in creating Databases, Tables, Complex Stored Procedures, DDL/DML Triggers, Views, User Defined Data Types, User Defined Functions, Cursors and Indexes (clustered, non - clustered, column stored)
- Solid understanding in maintenance and administration of SSIS
- Hands on experience in Data Modeling in all Conceptual, Logical and Physical stages and in creating both Star and Snow Flake Schema data models in data warehouse concepts
- Well knowledgeable in Requirement Gathering, Analysis, Design, Development and Implementation of Enterprise solutions
- Proficient in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process
- Strong skills on deploying and operating large scale cloud infrastructure and application services
- Expert in Performance Tuning of complex Stored Procedure, SSIS Packages, Power BI Reports
- Act as a thought leader in the technical space; making recommendations on how particular problems might be solved and with what technologies
Requirements
- Strong understanding of Python for ETL work (required)
- Strong experience with data manipulation
- Strong experience in Power BI
- Must be self-directed, confident and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to adapt to the technology most appropriate to complete a task
- Financial Services / FinTech domain knowledge, a plus
- 6+ years relevant work experience
