Onyx Business Systems Analyst
(Available as remote, Greater Boston, or Indianapolis position)
Main Responsibilities
- Provide functional and technical support to the project team while recommending and implementing solutions
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for the in-house Onyx system
- Lead sessions and prepare detailed system requirements and functional designs
- Develop requirements provided by business and interpret needs to development team
- Create process flow diagrams related to requirements
- Provide expertise on best practices as it relates to the insurance industry and/or lean on business partners knowledge to produce requirements
- Lead UAT and train on initiatives related to system; create and present the project highlights to the Ops team and other stakeholders
- Manage expectations of internal customers
- Design and implement processes and controls
- Investigate and resolve data discrepancies; detect and resolve application errors
- Support end users in Production as needed
- Document any known issues/manual workarounds that will be part of the release and communicate out with interested groups
- Shadow QA to understand their process and testing methodology
Required Skills/Knowledge
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an analyst position
- Experience planning, facilitating and documenting system requirements
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Must be self-directed, confident, and able to work in a challenging environment
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities while driving resolution and getting results
- Experience in scrum methodology on large complex agile projects
- Strong knowledge of MS office tools specifically Excel
- Experience with Jira and Confluence (nice to have)
- Experience with Power BI or related tool (nice to have)
