Position Overview

An influential client who are the result of a world class Innovation Lab is looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer, long-term, and contract to hire.

The primary role is to build out the Automated Test environment for the Innovation Lab’s teams. We are looking for an authoritative level of technical knowledge of how applications and systems are built... as well as how to break them.
 

Responsibilities

• Design and implement testing strategy, architecture and technology - this is a hands-on coding role, NOT a QA role. This is Architecture/Design & Development. Closer to Dev/OPS or in some cases - it is DEV OPS.
• Monitor Ops and automated testing results of products during development, and prior to public releases. Modify and change with the Team's bold new innovations
• Roll up your sleeves and do manual testing as necessary (be minimal but needed)
• Ensure there is adequate testing in place to avoid regressions
• Promote a culture of rigorous automated testing across all products and teams
• Become part of one of the most innovative and explosive technology companies(tm) in the US!

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience in a Software Development Engineering for Cloud
• Authoritative experience with coding using Python and/or Java/Scala
• Experience with source code control systems like Git, and Test/Automations
• Experience in Docker-based Cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google)
• Experience with testing automation tools and processes such as CircleCI, Github Actions, Gatling. Also, solid experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL

Bonus

We are looking for developers, but a strong experience or career-start in testing distributed backend systems, working with various data storage systems, or backgrounds in machine learning products 
are also a huge benefit.

Authorizations: 100% remote, but US Authorized only. No overseas atm.
