What you’ll do:
• Own the backend interface for our telemetry and ride logic data that serves several different
business use cases.
• Work with the telematics firmware engineers to develop protocol enhancements for
communication between the server and the vehicle
• Develop algorithms to help process telemetry data collected by the cars
• Work alongside iOS and Android developers for implementing self -service car rental logic
• Ensure system stability and maximize uptime so we are always in touch with our cars
• Work with other engineers on the team to develop other innovative solutions to minimize
member issues with cars
• Create world-class APIs for web, mobile, and external teams
• Work collaboratively with product designers, product managers and quality engineers to deliver
innovative new solutions and applications for a market leader in the mobility space
Who you are:
• Have skills in technologies including
• Web services written in JVM languages (Java, Groovy, Kotlin, Scala) and/or Ruby
• Databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Oracle)
• Microservice architectures
• Messaging systems (e.g. RabbitMQ)
• Communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing
• Collaborate with peers in a variety of disciplines
• Experience working with network protocols and/or remote devices a plus
• Familiarity with TCP and socket programming a plus. With at least a basic knowledge of binary
arithmetic
