Senior Java Developer (IoT Team)
This is a REMOTE role is with a Syrinx Telematics Partner

What you’ll do:

• Own the backend interface for our telemetry and ride logic data that serves several different business use cases.
• Work with the telematics firmware engineers to develop protocol enhancements for communication between the server and the vehicle
• Develop algorithms to help process telemetry data collected by the cars
• Work alongside iOS and Android developers for implementing self -service car rental logic
• Ensure system stability and maximize uptime so we are always in touch with our cars
• Create world-class APIs for web, mobile, and external teams

Technical Qualifications

• Java 
• Prior AWS environment experience would be great, but not a must have.
• Databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Oracle
• Microservice architectures 
• Messaging systems (e.g. RabbitMQ)
• Experience in consuming and creating APIs
• Experienced in troubleshooting errors in large, distributed systems in a 24/7 production environment
• Has a deep understanding of REST and other API design concepts (e.g. RPC, GraphQL, 12 factor apps)
