The data.world team is looking for an IT Support Technician to help us out for 3 months. This person will be responsible for resolving helpdesk tickets and assisting in projects including device provisioning and deployment. They will respond to incoming helpdesk requests with extraordinary technical support, based on priority, and complete all associated tasks, providing appropriate follow up communication. We are looking for someone who can handle day-to-day IT operations providing excellent IT support. Key components of this position are providing remarkable customer service, and having strong attention to detail. This person will be initially trained by the IT Support Services Manager, and will report to and get guidance from the VP, Technology Operations during most of the contract. This position will be based in Austin, TX, and will need to work from the office at least part time, and as needed. data.world requires all on site employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID. What you’ll do:
Satisfy all IT equipment needs including laptops, monitors, telephones, printers, and corporate network
Support office technology including new or relocating offices
Distribute and collect IT equipment to and from remote employees
Manage access to SaaS applications including G Suite, Slack, Okta, Jira, etc.
Own corporate IT areas of information security programs including SOC2, HIPAA
Ensure a positive onboarding and offboarding experience for all employees
Meticulous attention to detail
What you’ll bring:
3+ years working in deskside support, IT systems management, or similar experience
A passion for helping people and bringing technical issues to resolution
Experience administering G Suite, Slack, Jira, and other SaaS providers
Big pluses include:
Hands-on experience with Jamf Pro MDM solution for mobile and macOS devices
Email deliverability experience
Understanding of SOC2 / ISO 27001 compliance requirements
