Our client, one of the largest ecommerce companies in the US for home goods, is currently searching for a Senior Python Developer to join their team remotely from their Boston headquarters. 

***This is a ongoing (no end date) contract with potential for conversion to direct-hire!***
***This position will be 100% remote!***

As a Senior Python Developer, you will be supporting the Finance Tech department to create the next generation of modernized services and APIs to optimize the organization's B2C/B2B website's financial transactions. 

What you will be doing: 

• Unifying and normalizing a suite of existing processors that handle various lines of business financial transactions in a very similar but duplicative way
• Working on the reporting and analysis products that leverage operational accounting data to provide leadership with actionable insights 
• Developing Python based applications on top of SQL/Postgres within a GCP environment coordinated by Kafka event messaging queues 

What you will need:

• 7+ years as a Full Lifecycle Software Engineer within Python 
• Proficiency in SQL database including schema/database design and query optimization
• Experience in GCP highly desired
