Our client, one of the largest car-sharing companies in the US, is searching for a Senior Java Developer to support their new subscription service offering. 

***This will be a 1-Year contract to start with opportunity for extension/conversion!*** 
***This position is 100% remote, candidates must be US residents!***

As a Senior Java Developer, you will be designing, implementing, delivering, and maintaining applications for members, customer support, as well as administrators for the subscription monthly service. This project will require extensive experience developing highly scalable Java microservices applications.

What you will be doing:

• Collaborating with product designers and QA engineers to translate requirements into innovative code and user experience 
•  Resolving various challenges such as embedded custom hardware and firmware, mobile-first user experience, analytics and scalable real-time scheduling
• Developing within Microservice Architecture utilizing RabbitMQ for internal communication written for the JDK (Java, Groovy, Kotlin) and Ruby

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in IT/CS preferred or equivalent experience
• 5+ years minimum of Java web services development experience
• Ability to work Full-Stack with a strength in Java API's
• Experience in a 24/7 production environment as well as React.JS highly desired
