Senior QA Engineer

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We have made a major strategy change to provide our clients with a new Digital Marketing Platform build on cutting edge technologies such  s Hadoop, Spark and Bigdata.  This is a very rare opportunity to help shape a new experience to our customers and employees through being a part of the team that is building brand new ways to interact with our services every day.

We have a new Platform that is built using technologies such as Java, Apache Spark, Hadoop, Hive, Oracle, Postgres and Streamsets The right candidate will know how to test and automate against some or all of those technologies, have the willingness to learn what they don’t know, and a desire to help build something incredible.


WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Understand requirements and collaborate with Engineering and Product Management in Agile teams to ensure that we are delivering the right business value in every sprint
  • Document and execute test cases to be run for API/SOA functional testing
  • Effectively communicate issues to development
  • Build an automated regression test suite to ensure consistency of releases over time
  • Establish Automation frameworks and practices to ensure that test automation is maintainable and extensible over time

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years of QA experience with at least 5 years of experience in leading a team of testers
  • Minimum of 5 years Hands on experience in developing Automation frameworks using Java, Selenium, REST Assured, Cucumber, and Groovy
  • Minimum of 5 years SOA testing experience and expert in open source API testing tool such as SOAPUI/Postman
  • Knowledgeable in Jenkins and CICD process and able to align the Automation frameworks with the current CICD process – Min 2 years
  • Able to lead/interact teams at onshore and offshore
  • Demonstrated experience working on large projects
  • Hands-on, motivated self-starter with ability to take direction and manage tasks with minimal supervision within an energized, collaborative and entrepreneurial environment
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), listening, and negotiation skills
  • Innovative and creative, able to champion new ideas and initiatives with attention to detail
  • Flexible schedule (some evening and weekends as required to support releases)
