MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN INVESTMENT BANKING AND/OR ASSET MANAGEMENT DOMAINS

We prefer candidates with experience testing software in trade settlement environments as this role is with an Asset Management Company
 

This position will be involved in all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including analysis and requirements’ definition, design, user documentation and operational rollout to other business areas. Candidates should be able to coordinate testing resources, manage the testing process, and prioritize work to ensure a high quality product.

 

 Candidates should possess the following qualifications and skills:

 

·                     Preferably 7-10 years of hands-on testing experience with complex software systems in a financial services environment

·                     Experience in the investment industry or with a vendor of financial software a positive but not required

·                     Minimum four years of experience designing, writing or maintaining automated test solutions

·                     Working knowledge of SpecFlow, Cucumber or similar

·                     Working knowledge of Selenium, SoapUI. CodedUI, UFT or similar

 

Questions they have asked in past interviews and pointers:

 

• How do you communicate with BA and Dev and higher manage. Did good job with communication. Before reporting talk to devs and figure out what is wanted.
• Status report is something that everyone agrees and communicating status with higher management. Convey more agreeable status. Show examples of how is everyone on same page.
• Don’t waste dev or manager times.
• Something not feature complete go help devs move stuff faster. Understand phase of project and how to expedite development.
• Recent projects executed
• When would  Ed start automation. New vs current. What starts first? How to make not complicated so not hard to fix when breaks. What he like about spekflow or selenium. And how does that fit into development process.
• Big companies work different. Keep mindset open to provide custom solution that works.
