This is a remote role (for now) with a Syrinx Government Solutions Partner, but we are targeting local candidates to this area or willing to relocate for an on-site presence Post-Covid.

We are looking for a senior user-experience (UX) designer able to understand our business
requirements and facilitate product vision into user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, and
prototypes.  The Senior UX Designer will be responsible for creating eloquent, simple and compelling user experiences based upon UXD principles, research and user-testing. We’re looking for a person
possessing strong creative, technical, problem-solving and collaboration skills. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Gathering and evaluating user requirements, in collaboration with product management.
• Conducting competitor and customer analysis
• Facilitating product vision by researching, conceiving, prototyping and user-testing experiences for
digital products.
• Analyzing user feedback and activity, then iterating to enhance the user experience based on the
feedback
• Developing and presenting rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
• Collaborating with UI designer to establish to style standards on fonts, colors and images
• Collaborating with UI designers and developers to create intuitive, user-friendly software

• Identifying and troubleshooting UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)

Requirements and Qualifications:
  
● 3+ years of UX design experience.
● Bachelor’s degree in Design or Computer Science (e.g., interaction, graphic, web design) and/or
outstanding portfolio of work
● A solid grasp of user-centered design (UCD), planning and conducting user research, user testing,
A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability and accessibility concerns.
● Expertise in standard UX software such as Sketch, OmniGraffle, Axure, InVision, UXPin, Balsamiq,
Framer, and the like is a must. Basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills are a plus.
● Understanding of trends, best practices, design principles, web standards, and responsive design
techniques
● Professional written and interpersonal skills when communicating with customers and clients
