Guiding Our Client's Development Product in SCALA/Python working Product Group

Our top tier Client team needs a SCALA/Python Software Architect.
You will be our hands-in leader in shaping the technical direction of the Innovation Labs' product engineering teams. 
The ideal candidate will have built and scaled several different types of SaaS platforms, ideally in Python/Scala Django, and Docker based environments. 

We are working with an outstanding startup-oriented/organization, and the best candidates will bring the energy, agility, and passion to an iterative and resourceful group!

Due to Restrictions, candidates must be USA based, and USA Authorized. Cannot remote overseas.
We also prefer organizing on EST time.

Responsibilities 

Lead the Innovation Lab’s (Python/Scala based) product team, and drive their development efforts 

• ​Lead an iterative product development team - Python & Scala codebase
• Mentor, coach, provide KPI's, reviews and feedback for your team.
• Give sustainable technical and architectural direction and make decisions for the product in collaboration with the V-Leadership Team  
• Drive the continuous integration cycle to develop and improve your team’s product
• Close collaboration with the Product Management & other Engineering Leadership teams will produce product roadmaps 
• Own the technical direction and design of the Product in collaboration with your Product management team. 

Requirements 

We are looking for a Python Developer with web application/infrastructure experience, and and average of 10 years developing, along with some period of Architecture and Leadership 

• Architectural knowledge in building and scaling horizontal and vertical platforms 
• Experience Developing in cloud and docker based infrastructure and architectures 
• Expert in synchronous and/or micro python/Scala web frameworks - Examples: Tornado, Pyramid, and Flask 
• Expert in distributed asynchronous job/streaming platforms - Examples: RabbitMQ, Kinesis, and Kafka 
• Experience Managing and shipping cloud-based products to market.
• Experience Leadership in continued integration, maintenance, and support (full SDLC)
• Hand-on Development ability while providing management for team of developers; KPIs and deadlines, sprints and ownership of product cycles, mentoring and growing the skills of engineering team

• Aspirational or expert in Machine Learning & model management 
• ​Experience in both Multi and Single tenant deployments
• Startup/Rapid Growth experience  
• Exposure to Scala teams, React Teams, Open Source development groups, or any history of contributions.
