This role will partner with local and remote engineering teams, product managers, and senior leadership to design a world-class solution. The right candidate with be passionate about hyper scale services based architecture, demonstrate a high capacity for tracking a broad range of deep technical detail and want to have fun while we transform the industry.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Own the end to end architecture of the information management as a service platform and build the technology for taking the Platform to thousands of customers
• Mentor and provide guidance on technical and architectural direction, methodology, design, and reuse
• Partner with product managers, engineering staff and data scientists to understand customer requirements and to design prototypes and bring ideas to production
• Work with Engineering to develop and maintain an overall technology roadmap that supports our software business requirements while minimizing technical debt.
• Lead API design using multi-tenant RESTful services for low-latency inferences that scale
• Design elastically-scalable fault-tolerant distributed systems
• Develop compute and data infrastructure that ingests and transforms data from different sources and customers at scale in batch and real-time
• Evaluate new technologies and software products to determine feasibility and desirability of incorporating their capabilities within the company's products.
• Communicate the technical vision and plan to clients, prospects and leadership.
• Attend/Lead strategic planning meetings for all product lines
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Excellent software systems architecture and design skills and record of accomplishment
• Well versed in current cloud technologies, advantages, and pitfalls
• Strong analytical capabilities for identifying and resolving engineering tradeoffs
• Experienced in the design of service-oriented architectures and microservices
• Experience in techniques for application modernization.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities in directing technical activities and documenting technical issues
• Ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences; strong presentation skills
• Strong understanding of Enterprise IT, including strategy, enterprise architecture, governance, operations, Cloud Center of Excellence (CCOE), SDLC and DevOps
• Proactive with a strong sense of urgency and competitive drive

• Collaborative team player working across various teams within the organization
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in software engineering or computer science; advanced degree desirable
• 10+ years of experience in software systems architecture/design of multi-tenant SaaS products
• Breadth of expertise in Cloud Computing/AWS platform, technologies and architectural best practices
• Experience building proofs of concepts and prototypes to demonstrate feasibility of architectural designs and vision
• Demonstrated expertise and leadership in working with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Product Mgmt, DevOps, IT…) to design solutions that meet requirements with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, reliability and longevity
• Hands-on experience working with the Microsoft technology stack preferred
• Experience in a software company that implemented and sold software products in a competitive marketplace
