Software QA/Automation Engineer

The Role
As a Quality Assurance Engineer (QA), you will join a team of hands-on, passionate engineers to ensure the highest quality for our products. You will help build and own various test frameworks for both the front-end and backend. This role is an integral part of creating products with first class user experience as well as sustaining a fast-growing customer base.
 

• Review product requirements and design, creative in coming up with test plans and test cases with maximum test coverage.
• Work with developers to understand the overall technical architecture and how each feature is implemented.
• Develop and own test frameworks for UI, API, performance and security, improve test efficiency and statistics collection.
• Able to put together automation with various technologies and tools to meet testing requirements.
• Execute and benchmark performance metrics. Monitor application to determine system behavior.
• Perform manual and automated tests.
• Identify, document, and validate system or software defects.

 
Basic Qualifications

• Background in computer science, engineering or similar.
• 2+ year of experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer
• Excellent programming fundamentals with Java, Scala, and/or Python.
• Experience in automation testing.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Passionate about learning new technologies.

 
Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with API, UI testing with Selenium.
• Experience with back-end performance tooling and framework development
• Experience with measuring and troubleshooting front-end performance metrics using Chrome Dev tools or similar.
• Experience with database testing.
• Experience with AWS or other cloud technologies
