Responsibilities:
Java/AWS Software Engineer III & IV
The client is developing a new 24x7x365 real-time [Financial Operations] service, with integrated clearing functionality.
What will be expected of you
- Serve as a Software Engineer: to design, develop and implement new complex solutions in accordance with Project Architecture Standards
- Develops software solutions (front end SPA and backend) using modern internet-scale technologies and Serverless architecture in Cloud
- Develop end to end Infrastructure-as-Code solutions
- Ensure compliance with [legal] policies, procedures and standards as outlined
Qualifications:
Expertise you will bring
- Deep expertise in Java and proficient knowledge of programming languages ( Node JS, XML, JSON, HTML, CSS etc. Python a bonus)
- Ideally, you’ll have experience with AWS services, and integrating them into an application
- 3+ years working with AWS cloud-based platforms in an enterprise environment
- Demonstrated experience engineering software with cloud-first architectures
- Experience with CI/CD build tools, and DevOps processes
- Experience developing high performance, high volume, highly available (24/7/365) environments
- Experience with Agile software engineering (Scrum, Kanban, Lean etc)
Nice to Haves?
- Experience with API Development and consumption and microservices architecture
- Demonstrated "Modern" Java experience, (aka 9.0+, 11 is best)
- Some additional experience with database development (SQL, Oracle, DB2)
- Experience with Serverless architecture for building software solutions in Cloud
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent background or experience
Interviews and starts will commence immediately, for first available start date.
