Qualifications:
***Software Development Engineer in Testing*** • 8+ years of experience in software testing or development with strong experience in testing methodologies, agile practices, coding and debugging procedures • Experience in programming using Python or Java or other languages • Experience in design and development of automated frameworks, automated tests using automation tools (e.g. Selenium, Appium) with exposure in testing across the application layers (UI/Service/Data layers) • Experience in advising team to identify automatable test scenarios at different layers. • Experience with API development, service virtualization, and mock testing • Experience with Kafka, MQ message queues based automation and cloud testing skills. • Collaborate with engineering team in building automation feasible applications/platforms. • Experience of BDD implementation, tagging strategy and pipeline integration • Experience in performance testing tools like performance center & JMeter • Strong knowledge of RDS and NoSQL databases, writing queries, stored procedures and scripts • Experience working in DevOps culture and practice. Proficiency in building pipeline code. • Experience working with AWS cloud, infra as a code, and automation dashboards • Proven data analysis, data verification, and problem-solving abilities to provide insights and conclusions • Excellent communication, organizational, presentation, and negotiation skills with the ability to cultivate effective working relationships with business and technical staff at all levels • Highly developed critical thinking, including strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making capabilities • Ability to set priorities and readily adapt to changing priorities; commitment and flexibility to ensure critical deadlines are met • Good project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work structures. • Strong communication skills and ability to produce clear, concise and detailed documentation • Capture quality data and metrics to provide insights and conclusions • Bachelors or higher qualification in Computer science, Information Systems or equivalent is preferred. • SAFE or Agile certification, Cloud or DevOps certification is a plus Other Considerations • Ability to work in an office environment and to travel to all District offices as needed. • Ability to perform office duties such as using a computer keyboard. • Work involves sitting most of the time but may involve going to other offices and meeting rooms. • Ability to work in demanding situations and handle multiple priorities • Minor lifting and carrying (less than 5 pounds).

Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities • Research, design and build efficient automation/performance/security frameworks, including test tools and automated test suits that govern whole development cycle • Design and develop testing strategy based upon project requirements, automation/performance scripts with quality code to simplify test scenarios. • Create, execute, analyze and report test results to agile delivery team. • Work in partnership with development teams, participate in architecture and design reviews, identify issues and suggest improvements to deliver business functionality on time with required quality • Collaborate with developers in reviewing unit test and integration results for coverage analysis • Create branching strategy and policies for high quality automation deliverables • Design & develop pipeline as a code for Continuous testing pipeline to integrate automation scripts into CI/CD pipeline. • Drive automation efficiencies and coverage effectiveness using different tools and techniques • Review the development code to build effective automation suite to cover technical and business integration automation coverage • Design real-time automation dashboard to measure build quality and provide feedback to the agile delivery team • Mentor quality engineers on automation best practices and support automation backlog efforts • Perform manual, exploratory and automation scripts development efforts • Perform other duties as assigned.
