Java/AWS Sr. Engineers needed for Greensboro region Education Software Development
Greensboro, NCOur top client, and national leader in their field need Java Engineers for a complete overhaul, redesign, implementation, of their new AWS linked portal project.
Our office is in Greensboro, NC.
The role is STILL almost fully remote! 1-2 days per week at first, and once per month after that is fine.
As part of the Client delivery team, you will
- Work closely with product designers, product managers and quality engineers to turn requirements and design documents into elegant code and delightful user experience
- Use modern tooling for iterative and rapid development, integrated testing, and high performance
- Contribute to architecture decisions
- Conduct code reviews
- Java and SQL are the must haves. 4+ years in development teams using Agile
- AWS and data technologies are the nice to haves - and the more the better
- Require minimal supervision and can help a team drive a LONG TERM project to completion.
- Any Full-stack development experience using Java, Tomcat, Spring Boot, Angular, Node and JavaScript
- Proven experience with AWS capabilities, AWS certification is preferred, not required
- Proven experience with Cloud databases, preferably with Aurora PostgreSQL, DynamoDB
- Hands-on development experience of RESTful APIs, and good knowledge of API design
- Experience in SCRUM or other agile development processes
- Knowledge of writing automated tests using a testing framework
- Knowledge of Application Lifecycle Management Tools (e.g. Stash, Jenkins, Concourse Cloud Formation and Containers) is a bonus.
- Familiarity with DevOps CI/CD or Educational Organization/Software development
