Our client, one of the largest names in the US for pet needs, is actively searching for a Senior Java Developer for their health focused team from their Boston office!

**This is a 6+ Month contract expected to extend or convert!***
**This is a 100% remote opportunity!**

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be supporting this team primarily on the back-end  to architect an innovative B2C web application from cradle to grave. This person will have complete oversight and act as the point-person for your portion of the platform. 

Responsibilities:

-Architect an adaptable customer-facing e-commerce web application
-Ensuring your systems will be CICD compatible
-Leading innovation through rapid prototyping and iterative development
-Assisting in code review and engineer mentorship

Qualifications: 

-Bachelor's Degree preferred in CS/MIS or equivalent professional experience 
-5+ years of experience in Java development (Java8/Spring Boot)
-3+ years of experience of cloud architecture experience (AWS)
-Experience in Terraform and Ansible highly desired
-Experience in scripting languages preferred: Shell, Python, Ruby, etc.
