Syrinx is reaching out to our Hardware Programable Gate Array (FPGA) experienced Firmware folks to join our [Client's] Electric Power Generation Testing Devices Division, as the Engineering team lead on a PERM Basis, with salary and full benefits.
As a Lead/Architect, you will be responsible for evaluating architectural choices based on product requirements and ensuring that the architecture works across Digital Signal Processing hardware, firmware and software components for the purpose of Testing and Diagnostics of Power Generation equipment manufacturing, operation, and assembly.
The ideal candidate would be someone that has past experience with Power Generation, and hardware design and/or FPGA programming, and is currently working in the embedded real-time, multi-processor environment fields.

Position Focus:
- Evaluate new technologies and leverage those into product architectures resulting in the implementation of requested product functions.
- Innovate new product features based on your ability to realize product from technical possibilities.
- Provide technical leadership in the realm of system design.
- Some (paid)travel involved.
Qualifications:
- Expert knowledge of FPGA programming and Scripting
- Familiarity and experience working with Matlab, Linux, and scripting languages
- Including expert level skills in one or more scripting languages such as TCL, Python and Perl.
- Additionally experience with embedded, and host applications developed in RTOS, C, C++, C# and .NET
- Experience in Digital Signal Processor (DSP) FPGA/CPLD implementations
- Experience in Power Generation Industry is a huge plus
Brass tax: The Role is in the East/Central Massachusetts/Greater Boston Area. It is ONSITE and not a remote role. All accommodations will be made for safety in Covid times, but idea candidate will commute or Relo to the Area.
Client is only open to GC and USC authorizations only at this time. No EAD or H1 at this time.
