The team will start "Covid-remote", meaning remote start with some(safe) office visits, and transition to an onsite/remote hybrid:
ONSITE is Seaport Boston, best view in the city.
As a result, the Team requires locality to Boston or the Greater Boston Area.
NO 100% remotes.
No time zones beyond EST.
No relocations.

Java/AWS Software Engineer III & IV
The client is developing a new 24x7x365 real-time [Financial Operations] service, with integrated clearing functionality.

Responsibilities:
Java/AWS Software Engineer III & IV
The client is developing a new 24x7x365 real-time [Financial Operations] service, with integrated clearing functionality.
What will be expected of you
- Serve as a Software Engineer: to design, develop and implement new complex solutions in accordance with Project Architecture Standards
- Develops software solutions (front end SPA and backend) using modern internet-scale technologies and Serverless architecture in Cloud
- Develop end to end Infrastructure-as-Code solutions
- Ensure compliance with [legal] policies, procedures and standards as outlined
Qualifications:
Expertise you will bring
- Deep expertise in Java and proficient knowledge of programming languages ( JavaScript, XML, JSON, HTML, CSS etc. Python a bonus)
- Ideally, you’ll have experience with AWS services, and integrating them into an application
- Ideally you’ll have experience with leading edge Cloud technologies, such as Kafka, in-memory and NoSQL databases, messaging platforms, memcache etc).
- 3+ years working with AWS cloud-based platforms in an enterprise environment
- Demonstrated experience engineering software with cloud-first architectures
- Experience with CI/CD build tools, and DevOps processes
- Experience developing high performance, high volume, highly available (24/7/365) environments
- Experience with Agile software engineering (Scrum, Kanban, Lean etc)
Nice to Haves?
- Experience with API Development and consumption and microservices architecture
- Some additional experience with database development (SQL, Oracle, DB2)
- Ideally, Infrastructure as Code (IAC); Terraform
- Proficient knowledge of operating systems (Linux, Unix, Windows)
- Experience with Serverless architecture for building software solutions in Cloud
- Infrastructure as Code (IAC); Terraform
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent background or experience
Interviews and starts will commence immediately, for first available start date.
Project is long term, and may convert to FTE as needed. (inquire with Syrinx for details)
