Enterprise Architect – Enterprise Application Architect
Enterprise/Solution Architect for loan accounting system implementation effort to “understand/assess current environment and support teams to build a future vision for our architecture to build against.”
The nationwide team contains peers and experts in the field.
Big Three -
- Cloud flavor is Azure
- Mainframe flavors are DB2/VSAM and COBOL (so = Finance)
- Remote, but strong preference to East Coast and Central Time Zones
Can not do sponsorship (no C2C) for these roles. Can be contract, or contract to hire.
USC and GCpr only; no remotes outside of USA (including no Canada/Quebec désolé)
Requirements:
- 15+ years’ experience as tech lead/architect in complex enterprise environments
- Experience with large scale enterprise systems implementation and ‘big system remediation’
- Azure Application Integration experience is a <MUST>
- Application Replatforming Experience (Archtitecture/Solutions Architecture) from
- Mainframe Cobol to Azure C#
- Mainframe DB2/VSAM to (MS)SQL Server based solutions.
- Data Architecture Experience(var)
- (bonus)Enterprise & Solutions Application Architect of high volume transactional financial Applications,
- (bonus)Financial services with High Volume Transactions experience
- Strong enterprise application software architecture, solutions architecture
- Mainframe will not be going away altogether >important
- Deep Understanding of how to integrate other applications with (mainframe-app) loan accounting software along with other legacy mainframe applications.
- Fiserv loan accounting system experience is a plus
- Big (bonus) with loan accounting system experience (specifically COTS)
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the IT team on their estimation work:
- Provide a full-time (40hr) resource for the IT Leadership group to lean on to make sure consistent progress is made.
- Track the components being estimated and coordinate estimating processes with appropriate SME’s.
- Document assumptions and risks, and follow up on dependencies and action items.
- Develop and Deliver the Architectural Vision document (aka, High-Level Reference Architecture), in collaboration with (Data Architect), and stakeholders.
- Review the current state of Current technology platforms, as well as any planned changes.
- Interview key stakeholders to determine high-level architectural direction.
- Assist and Work with the Enterprise Data Architect on modeling future state data flows and storage plans.
- Create conceptual designs and future state architecture diagrams.
- Develop a time-phased Roadmap to be included in the Architecture Vision.
- Support the Infrastructure Lead with defining the technology footprint: networking, databases, servers, middleware, etc.
- Act as a liaison to the Fiserv Architect on vendor application interfaces and technologies.
- Work with development teams to refactor/re-engineer existing application to work in the new environment.
- Present key findings and overviews to the leadership team, where applicable.
**Obviously, the best candidates will have financial systems mainframe knowledge, as well as experience with migrations of large systems to both vendor packages and custom built hybrid cloud and on-premise applications.
