ECM System Owner

Electronic Content Management System Owner 
 
The ECM System Owner is a key member of the IT Leadership team and provides end-to-end ownership for a portfolio of applications in various SaaS cloud-based ECM systems.  As such, the ECM System Owner is responsible for providing thought leadership to the broader IT organization, leading a cross-functional team to execute on various project initiatives, performing production support and maintenance functions, managing vendor relationships, optimizing cost and quality of their application portfolio, applying best practices within the SDLC processes, ensuring systems meet or exceed SLAs, and collaborating with IT and Business partners across the organization as necessary.  
 
In conjunction with their leadership responsibilities the ECM System Owner will also be responsible for coaching and mentoring of other team members. This can include a variety of topics from functional execution such as design best practices to soft skills such as communications and facilitation. Furthermore, the ECM System Owner will also assist with establishing and executing the strategic direction of the department and organization as it pertains to system initiatives.
 
  1. The ECM System Owner is a steward of the application portfolio and is responsible for protecting the integrity of their applications. As such, the system owner owns all aspects of the application stack-end-to-end. This includes application uptime, performance, and stability. In addition, the ECM System Owner will be responsible for all application development and adherence to application management processes such as incident, problem, change, etc.
  1. Responsible for executing against project and small enhancement initiatives as appropriate for their respective application portfolio. Specific areas of responsibility will be to develop and coordinate the execution of delivery plans, schedule and publish release dates, and escalate issues/risks as needed.
  1. Executes against the strategic IT roadmap by developing and implementing specific strategies and execution plans for their respective application portfolios (e.g. sunsetting applications, implementing new technologies, conducing proof-of-concepts (POCs), etc.).
  1. Innovate within the organization by proactively driving continuous improvement efforts and collaborating with IT leadership to improve IT capabilities across the organization.
  1. Owns the vendor relationship and is responsible for ensuring vendor provides the proper level of service to the organization as defined by the SLAs.
Management and leadership of team members in area of responsibility. Recruit, hire, develop, train, and manage the performance of staff in both the technical duties and professional aspects of their performance.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or equivalent experience. 
  • 7+ years of systems development and management experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • 3+ years experience in ECM/BPM System Architecture or Solution Architecture
  • Extensive experience with ECM/BPM systems, processes, and methodologies.
  • Commercial property and casualty insurance experience desired.
  • Strong knowledge of Box.com and API’s
  • Advanced knowledge of Ephesoft Transact, preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Business process modeling
  • Working knowledge of Robotic Process Automation
  • Unstructured Data classification and retention
  • Unstructured Data security
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Proficiency with planning and executing large complex projects.
  • Ability to build and manage relationships with business partners and across IT.
  • Ability to build and manage vendor relationships for strategic partnerships or staff augmentation.
  • Must have ability to influence and manage change across the organization.
  • Enterprise architecture best practices, business architecture, information architecture, application architecture and repository management
  • Developing/implementing new strategies/roadmaps to migrate from current-to future-state
