We are seeking an enthusiastic SDET Architect, who is passionate about quality and automation, and looking for a challenging ground-up opportunity. The architect will be responsible for delivering the complete automation test infrastructure/tools, while adhering to the best automation practices/principles. They will work with teams of developers, testers and application architects to implement consistent approaches to automated testing. They will also help provide coaching and mentoring of the QE Test Automation engineers on standards and best practices of automation. In addition, they will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of improvements of our automated testing framework, tooling, and pipelines, with the goal of improving testing adoption and quality of the platform company-wide. Thinking of new ways to implement features that find issues and problems in product designs.
 
Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership in defining the automation methodologies, strategies, standards, tools, best practices for automation processes
  • Build next gen test framework using latest technologies, open source, maintain roadmap, and build out new capabilities over time
  • Provide guidelines and recommendations on different tools, languages, and technologies
  • Define architecture, design, and implementation of the Quality Automation and Performance Testing Framework
  • Create, advocate and coach test automation best practices to team members
  • Provides technical leadership and mentoring to QEs to influence and drive quality
  • Developing the tools and processes for cost savings, repeatability and improving quality
  • Analyze existing systems which may lack formal technical requirements, develop full test strategies
  • Design, automate, and execute tests
  • Must be able to identify, assess and resolve complex business problems/issues/risks and facilitate issue resolution and risk mitigation
  • Report and drive increased test automation coverage in all areas
Qualifications
  • 10+ years' experience in software testing or related field developing test cases and test plans with extensive knowledge of automated testing and architecture
  • 5+ years' experience development in enterprise-level applications, architecting test automation frameworks for enterprise-level applications
  • 2+ years' experience building Test Automation Framework, including hands-on knowledge with automation tools, frameworks, and best practices
  • Knowledge of Testing Frameworks and Test Design Patterns like BDD, TDD, Page Objects, etc.
  • Expert understating of SDLC and QA Concepts, metrics analysis, methodologies and documentations standards
  • Define project quality strategy across multiple projects
  • REST APIs and Webservices test automation
  • Test Script development, maintenance and execution
  • Experience with Cloud development and DevOps delivery
  • Experience with industry standard tools for defect tracking, source code management, test case management, test automation, and other management and monitoring tools
  • Experience working with Agile methodology, this could be scrum, Kanban or a combination of both
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
  • Experience in the following:
    • UI Test Automation Framework experience, such as Protractor, Selenium WebDriver, Webdriver.io or similar
    • SQL/Database testing
    • REST API Automated Testing using Java, TestNG, RestAssured or similar
    • Performance Testing tools such as Gatling or similar
    • CI/CD via Jenkins or similar
    • Source control tool like GitHub
