Technology Program Manager

12 Month Contract (Client will convert full time, if desired)
Syrinx is partnered with a Document Management company that is hiring for an experienced Technical Program Manager. The Technology Program Manager owns successful delivery of large, high impact & cross-functional product initiatives while simultaneously tracking a set of smaller projects. You will closely collaborate with the Software Engineering Director in bringing all technology programs and projects to successful completion.
Responsibilities:
Program & Project Management
- Work with key stakeholders in product management and executive teams to define program strategy and requirements
- Own successful delivery of large, high impact and cross-functional product initiatives while simultaneously tracking a set of smaller projects
- Lead resource planning efforts across the Product Development team
- Communicate clearly and effectively to executive management on the plans, status and critical issues.
- Prioritize work in partnership with Product Managers and Organizational Leadership
Continuous Improvement
- Lead process improvement initiatives to improve product delivery capabilities within an agile development environment.
Financial Management
- Prepare yearly investment plans & budgets for the technology team
- Create financial business cases in partnership with Product Management to justify new strategic initiatives
- Manage the financial performance for the year including actuals vs. budget and monthly forecasts
Requirements:
- Proven program leader experienced in managing a geographically dispersed team of employees and external contractors. This position interlocks with many organizations including Sales, Sales Enablement, Product Management, Marketing, Finance, Legal and IT.
- Program Management experience in a Software Development environment is required.
- Experienced in leading SaaS product implementations
- Program Management experience in readying a product for marketplace launch is required. Examples include collaborating with legal to ensure all contracts are in place, working with finance & IT to ensure billing is set up appropriately.
- Strong facilitation and communication skills; clear & concise communications at multiple levels is key
- Solid process improvement background with hands on experience in agile development practices
- Understanding of data organization concepts such as data taxonomies, data tagging / indexing.
- Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- MS/BS degree in a Management, IT or Scientific discipline preferred.
