Cloud Applications QA Engineer

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
The Cloud QA Engineer should have recent automation test experience in distributed systems, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills required to partner with product development teams, system architects, and stakeholders across the business.

Responsibilities for this job include:

• Design and develop automation frameworks and test suites to test the Bose cloud platform and services
• Develop test automation across many perspectives: functional correctness, code quality, performance testing, etc.
• Implement, track, and report key metrics to assure full coverage of functional and non-functional requirements
• Hands-on involvement in all phases of product development, including planning, design, implementation, and execution of automated tests, defect logging and verification, and reporting results
• Participate in problem diagnosis, triage and prioritization, qualification of fixes, and root cause analysis
• Consistently improve test automation infrastructure and coverage

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent technical domain
• Experience testing and debugging public cloud-based microservices (Rest-API’s) AWS, Azure, or similar platforms within the last 24 months (at least).
• Must be able to program with at least one high level programming language (python, java, etc.)
• Will have a deep understanding, experience in debugging, and use of APIs in distributed systems.
• 2+ years’ experience implementing, and executing automated test frameworks
